Pinder Brothers move from garden Street into their new purpose build factory on Arundel Street
which virtually coincided with World War II. Staff were called up and the factory continued on the basis
of government contracts including cutlery for the forces and copper bands for shells.
This iconic art deco building is located in the cultural industries quarter, on one of the surviving streets of the 18th century estate of the Duke of Norfolk.
It was an important area for the metal trades of Sheffield and distinctive red brick used as the main building material here.
